Crusader scoop prestigious training award!

Manchester based Crusader, the shop and display equipment specialist who design and manufacture tailor-made retail and point of sale units for leading UK and international companies has just been announced as a winner of the prestigious North West Training Awards at a ceremony held at St Georges hall, Liverpool on Tuesday 25th October.

Crusader, one of the winners of the North West Training Awards was selected for their outstanding achievements in workplace training and personal development. The awards were presented by Gordon Burns, presenter of BBC North West Tonight.

The National Training Awards, which are run by UK Skills on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills, reward training and personal development, with both organisations and individuals eligible to enter. Now in their 19th year, the National Training Awards are often viewed as a barometer of the UK’s changing attitudes to training.

Over 220 finalists from 25 industry sectors, chosen from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and nine regions across the UK, took part in the final stages of the 2005 awards.

Dr Graeme Hall, Chief Executive of UK Skills, commented:
“Tonight’s ceremony is all about celebrating remarkably talented organisations and individuals who have achieved the highest standards. Acknowledging and highlighting good practice is incredibly important if we want to continue to compete in a global market. In order to do so, we need to focus on achieving high quality skills and standards and these organisations and individuals are great examples of this in practice.”

“The high number of winners from the North West demonstrates that an increasing number of employers in the region are taking skills seriously and realising that
investment in training is crucial to future business success. I warmly congratulate all winners on their achievement.”

Gordon Burns, Presenter of BBC North West Tonight, commented:
"The training I have undertaken throughout my career has given me both the skills and confidence to succeed. I firmly believe that no matter what your age you should never stop learning and developing your skills. I am truly proud to be celebrating the achievements of so many organisations and individuals from the North West here tonight and wish them all the best for the future".

Crusader Displays Limited has an annual turnover in the region of £3.5M employ 60 staff and boasts a total of nearly 80 years design and manufacturing experience with an impressive list of national and international clients including household names such as Halfords, Boots and Specsavers.
